Unable to connect X/Twitter Account

Scenario 1. Please unlink X in the Legion app settings. Then go to your X account settings and disable oApp authorization for the Legion platform. After these actions, try authorizing your X account again.

Scenario 2. If you see an error saying your X (Twitter) account is already linked to another Legion profile, don’t worry — this is a common issue and can be resolved by following the steps below.


What’s happening?

You may see an error like:

“Social account already linked to a different profile”

This can happen even if you don’t remember creating another Legion account.

Why this occurs

Any time you select “Continue with X”, Legion creates a basic account record linked to that X handle — even if you never completed onboarding or verification.
Because of this, your X account can only be connected to one Legion profile at a time and must be unlinked before it can be attached to another account.


How to fix it

To unlink your X account and reconnect it to your main Legion account, follow these steps carefully:

Step-by-step solution

  1. Clear your browser cache and cookies (including Legion cookies).

  2. Log out of Legion completely.

  3. Log back in using “Continue with X” (the X account you want to connect).

  4. You’ll be taken through the onboarding flow — please continue through all steps.

    • When you reach the Verification step, select the option to skip (wallet / scoring option).

  5. Once you reach the dashboard, go to:
    Settings → Connected Accounts

  6. Unlink your X account.

  7. Log out again.

  8. Log back in using your main Legion account (email login).

  9. Return to Settings → Connected Accounts and reconnect your X account.


What happens next?

  • Your X account will now connect successfully.

  • Your Social Clout score will update automatically once the account is linked.

  • No verification or duplicate accounts are required going forward.
